Step towards Faith
Want to step into Faith?
If you would like to open your heart to Jesus, repeat the following prayer:
Jesus, I understand I am a sinner and that I need you. I believe you are the Son of God, and that you died on the cross for my sin. I invite you to be the Lord, and Savior of my life. Cleanse me and transform me. I don't wish to be the same. I recognize you as my one and true savior, and understand that only you could lead me back to the Father. Write my name in the book of life. Thank you for your forgiveness.
What comes next?
If you've decided to follow Jesus, and you did the salvation prayer, I want to congratulate you. Welcome to the Body of Christ, the Church. This is the first step. The journey is just beginning.
The first thing you must do, is find a Holy Bible. Although others can teach you, it is important to learn to read it on your own, to prevent falling pray to false teachers. Begin reading the book of John in the New Testament.
Now, it's important to find a church, so you can surround yourself with other believers. This will help you grow in knowledge and understanding of the scriptures, and learn more about what God has designed for your life.
If you don't know what church to go to, I advise you to look for a church that believes in the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). A church that believes in the Gifts of the Spirit, and the baptism by water, and by the Holy Spirit.
Seek a place where they believe in the five ministries, that biblical scriptures were inspired by God, and the speaking of tongues. Why? Because the Bible teaches that these things are important for the church and its growth.
I know it sounds like a lot, but, trust me, it is worth it!
